This project consisted of an extension to an old winery building.
The extension created follows the same form of that of the former building, the length of which one now finds a elongated structural framework, a traditional double sloping roof and a gable end façade. The framework of the extension is steelwork, the roofing in traditional tiles, remade good using timber battens with its natural timber underside exposed and visible. The floor is a concrete slab waxed black which extends outside making a handling area, the walls made of highly thermally insolating brickwork, lime rendered both inside and outside. The 2 gable end walls are slightly lifted above the roofing level, which masks and simplifies the reading of the new façade on which the name of the winery is directly painted.
